Sand traveled alongside the blowing wind, erasing the footsteps imprinted on the ground. On the deep-blue sky, the African sun tortured the countries below, projecting its golden radiance on the endless drylands.
Jeff took another scant sip from his canteen, wiping the sweat off his brow as he gazed at the horizon. Innumerable golden dunes filled his surroundings, which were devoid of any other characteristics. There were neither houses for Jeff to exterminate his fatigue, nor exotic fruit trees for him to satiate his overwhelming appetite.
